Small Botulinum toxin injections under the skin help to relax the muscles responsible for causing these facial lines and wrinkles. At Brookside Dental, we use Azzalure® rather than the more commonly known anti-wrinkle injections. Both products are compounds of Botulinum toxin, however experience has lead us to favour the results using Azzalure®.
Dermal fillers consist of injectable hyaluronic acid.
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the skin which is responsible for maintaining hydration, volume and and elasticity. This volume loss also affects the lips so they start to disappear inwards resulting in the formation of fine wrinkles around the lips.
